OMG I Loved the 2008 Brit Awards!
Thursday, 21 February 2008

So the fun fun fun 2008 Brit Awards were held last night in London with The Osbournes as hosts and a ton of celebs presenting, performing and most importantly, walking the red carpet!
The best of British were there, including the fabulous Leona Lewis who somehow missed out on winning any awards, even though she's the best talent we have right now! She is not however, our most stylish starlet. Unfortunately Miss Lewis needs a stylish as she looked like a prom queen both on the red carpet in a Roberto Cavalli strapless dress, and whilst performing in a ugly purple gown. And her curls are starting to look drab. She needs to chop off some of her hair and get a new fresh style, and her outfits need to get funkier!
Our very own Bionic Woman and ex-Eastender Michelle Ryan aka Zoe Slater, looked sexy in a slinky black shirt dress and black peep toes, whilst Welsh lovely Katherine Jenkins looked gorgeous in a white beaded flapper inspired Valentino Spring 2008 dress.
My absolute best dressed of the night wasn't even a British star dissapointingly. It was Rihanna, who looked edgy and fab in a strapless silver Dolce and Gabbana dress. I love the stuctured skirt and cute bow around the waist, and I think she has the style to pull off her boyish hair cut really well.
Kylie also went strapless in her vintage velvet Vicky Tiel LBD with sweetheart neckline and lots of sparkly silver jewellery. She looked like a true diva! She also won the best Internation Female Solo Artist last night!
And finally in a strapless mini dress was Kelly Rowland who looked a little like a show girl in her feathery silver number. A bit over the top for me, but she just about looks good in it!

Another big style trend on the night was plunging necklines and again Kelly Rowland was on trend. The star changed after the red carpet, and looked far better in a stunning black gown with a plunging neckline and a thigh high slit. This is true glamour!
Also looking sexy with a plunging neckline was Denise van Outen in a metallic gold mini dress with bubble hem. The dress is hot and fun but maybe a little too young for Denise these days??
And wearing the plunging neckline in a cuter way was singer KT Tunstall who wore a beaded blue print dress with amazing silver and gold peep-toe platforms!
Whose looks did you love and hate? And what do you think about the fact that Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis and Rihanna all went away with no awards??! There didn't seem to be as many categories this year though.

Monday, 28 January 2008
Not all celebs opted for long glamorous gowns at the 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards last night. Many kept the glamour subtle in gorgeous cocktail dresses instead.
Rebecca Romijn looked very sexy in her strapless silver Roberto Cavalli dress with black lace overlay. The statuesque actress teamed the dress with pointed black courts and looked incredibly sultry.
One of my favourite stylish starlets Sophia Bush was at the event in a strapless shimmery brown knee-length dress with a waist belt. She accessorised with nude peep toe pumps and wore her hair in a sleek updo to show off her silver tear-drop earrings.
Newbie Ellen Page is stuck in a red carpet style rut. She looked nice in her simple black Zac Posen dress but this is the latest of many simple LBDs she has worn to events recently. Ellen, try colour or at least a differnt style!
And finally is Michelle Pfeiffer in a strapless fitted coffee coloured Versace gown which she matched with peep toes in the same colour and she wore her soft waves in a loose updo. Simple and classic.
