So many C and D list celebs turned up in their sexiest, attention grabbing, outfits for Details Magazine's Mavericks 2008 Cocktail Party last Thursday.

My best dressed of the night was actress January Jones who looked stylish for Spring in a volumous, high-waisted, floral navy skirt teamed with a classic white vest and white peep toes. So chic!


The queen of curves Kim Kardashian wore another figure hugging dress but I like this strapless, gold one more than her usual ones as it's more structured and holds her in nicely! Luckily she kept everything else simple with a black clutch and black peep toes which stopped the gold from looking cheap.

Wearing an acid yellow one strap dress, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon hit two key Spring trends and looked great! What is that hairstyle about though? You can't wear a sexy, grown-up mini dress with little girl bunches in your hair! Ridiculous!

Also looking lovely was Miss Guided's Brooke Burns in a strapless navy mini dress and trendy bold yellow clutch bag.

The L Word and Life star Sarah Shahi wore the most popular YSL Spring 2008 dress as already seen on Rihanna, Julianne Moore and Gwyneth Paltrow! Personally I don't understand the fuss with this dress. It's not very flattering and it's sooooo boring! Why are so many celebs wearing it? Having said that, Sarah improved the dress slightly by breaking it up with a black waist belt so she gets points for that.

And finally is Maria Menounos wearing a chiffon latte coloured mini dress with black trim around the neck and black tights to match. She looks cute but I'm kind of fed up of seeing this look. It's sooo last season darhling! Haha.

There were also some celebs in fabulous evening gowns! Ana Ortiz looked to be having a great time in her tiered Badgley Mischka gown, Maria Menounos was regal in a stunning strapless Marchesa gown with silver detailing and British soul singer Joss Stone wore a classic strappy red Max Azria Atelier gown.

Get your red on ladies!

Maria Menounos (left) and Christy Turlington (right) were both at the L.A. Premiere of 27 Dresses yesterday wearing halter neck, cocktail dresses, but who rocked the style better??

Access Hollywood reporter Maria went for a red chiffon dress with patent waist belt from the Pamella Roland Spring 2008 Collection. The dress had a low back and looked very sexy on her with her strappy black peep toes. She wore a delicate silver bracelet and silver earrings and carried a black clutch.

Supermodel Christy opted for a classic black empire line dress which she covered up with a nice but unnecessary streamlined black jacket. Christy also wore black peep toes with gorgeous diamante details.

Maria wins it for me because Christy wasn't brave enough to wear the dress alone, and didn't introduce any colour in her accessories or make-up! Maria looks glam and put together, and the soft red colour is divine!

Ahhhhh! If only you knew how long I've been searching for the perfect pair of cable knit tights! I have thick woollen ones, black opaques, even ribbed tights...but the cable knits are so hard to find (within my budget)!

They are so country chic, and oh soooo Blair Waldorf (aka Leighton Meester) of Gossip Girls Upper East Side.

You just know she'd love Maria Menounos's black cable knit tights and patent shoe boots worn back stage at the Clash of the Choirs in NYC on Sunday.

Though unlike uptight, buttoned up Blair, Maria chose a bold red Mod style dress to complete the look.

Next time, leave the tacky sparkly gold hoops at home! Otherwise, fab outfit!
