2008 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala - Multicoloured
Tuesday, 13 May 2008
British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked chic in a multicoloured, strapless, feathered gown. I liked her matching blue jewelled clutch and her ever so stylish heavy fringe. Keeping the rest of her hair up was a wise choice.
Also brave in a multicoloured dress was one of my favourite fashionistas Kate Bosworth, wearing a vintage Chanel cocktail dress. The dress was edgy and fun, with a cute cut out neckline. Perfect for the woman who showed up on the arm of Karl Lagerfeld!
Also pretty cool was her choice of footwear for the occassion - Pierre Hardy multicoloured, sandals with transparent straps. I even liked her daring blue eyeshadow which could have been too much with the colourful dress and shoes, but she's young and pretty so she pulled it off!

Kate Bosworth was snapped (no not literally, though she's probably skinny enough to) at a petrol station in Beverly Hills last Friday spicing up plain jeans with a leaf printed white, grey and red vest.
I also love her yellow flat peep toes and vintage beige sunglasses. Tres cool.

Links to this post Email this postOMG I Love Her Style's Most Stylish Celebs of 2007!
Tuesday, 8 January 2008
This post may be a little late, but I took it very seriously so I wanted to take my time! Anyway, as we head into a new year of celeb style, here is my list of the best dressed celebs of 2007!
Jennifer Lopez is just my all time icon, so of course she has to be on the list! In 2007 she transitioned from her usual fabulous style to fabulous pregnancy style effortlessly, except for a minor glitch in the early pregnancy days! She is the most glamorous diva in Hollywood!
Maggie Grace is a new favourite style icon of mine. She has a different take on things to most young stars and loves vintage. I think she's quite creative with fashion, and going from blonde to brunette was the best thing she ever did!
Kerry Washington is a classic beauty who takes chances with fashion but keeps her overall looks simple. I loved some of the dresses she wore in 2007 and she is definately one of my favourite style inspirations.
Kate Bosworth has the looks and body of a model and manages to dress young and funky whilst still somehow looking timeless. I love the things she wore in 2007, but they wouldn't look like that on me!
Rihanna was my fav red carpet vixen this year! The singer wore a number of sexy fitted dresses and outshone her fellow celebs at many glam events.
The super sweet and adorable Rachel Bilson was the queen of everyday casual style in 2007. Whilst it's difficult to be as daring with fashion on the streets as you can be on a red carpet, Rachel always looked stylish, inspiring and put together. And of course cuuuuute!
Eva Mendes always surprises me style wise. In 2007 she sported so many different looks from classic ladylike to sexy and bold. She makes the cut for being a fashion chameleon!
Halle Berry has such simple taste in fashion. She sticks to basics and clean cut lines, but makes them look beautiful. With her new pregnancy in 2007, nothing changed and she made maternity chic look easy!
Thandie Newton makes the list for being my best dressed Brit of 2007. She wore so many fabulous designer dresses in 2007 and looked stylish and fresh, without religiously folowing trends. Plus she's just gorgeous isn't she!
Petra Nemcova is my best dressed and all round favourite model of 2007. I think she's a great person but more importantly (kidding!) she has fantastic style. Being a model, it's not surprising everything looks good on her, but what I like about Petra is she always looks well put together, even just walking down the street!
Kylie Minogue stepped up her style game in 2007 and became my best dressed pop star. She exudes a natural glamour whether she's wearing a cocktail dress, a beach dress, or turn ups and a cardigan!

Brittany Snow makes the list for the best use of colour in 2007. The actress sure knows how to stun on the red carpet in a variety of bold dresses. And it's not just the colour! The styles she picks are always interesting and fab too.
Big Brother 8 (US) runner-up Daniele Donato makes the list for being my most stylish reality tv star of 2007! The gorgeous blonde was my favourite contestant as much for her ability to win challenges and be strategic as for her fashion sense. She was by far the most (and probably only) fashionable person in the house! She has a unique and natural sense of what looks good on her and keeps things interesting.
Vanessa Hudgens has been without a doubt the most popular star on this blog in 2007! Will the trend continue in 2008? Probably! Vanessa makes the list as my most stylish teenager of 2007 though she is far more fabulous than many older celebs too. I admire that she understands what suits her so well at the young age of 18 and I'm excited to see her style develop further in 2008.
And finally we have Blake Lively who is my most stylish "one to watch" in 2008. Last year was a great year for Blake who saw her hit programme Gossip Girl take off and become the new "fashionable" show. Her fashion choices stood out from those of her co-stars this past year and I think she is definately one to watch! Will she make my list in 2008??
So tell me, who were your most fashionable celebs of 2007? Do you agree or disagree with my choices??

Monday, 22 October 2007
Where: Elle's 14th Annual Women in Hollywood Party
When: October 15th 2007
Here at OMG I Love Her Style, we luuurve women, we luuurve Hollywood and we certainly luuurve style so here are a rundown of the best looks from Elle's Women in Hollywood Party. And best of all? No Britney's, Lindsay's, Paris's or Nicole's! Just talented, sophisticated, classy ladies :)
What: A funky, pink and white patterned Balenciaga mini dress with cool, laidback pockets (so in style!) worn with a pair of black shoes with thick plaited straps. Jennifer's entire dress was embroidered and her gorgeous raven locks were straight and glossy.
Who: Kate Bosworth
What: Kate's delicate cream blouse was so pretty and the whole silhouette had a great shape when teamed with a fab tulip skirt. She wore a large statement necklace and kept her hair simple and slicked back into a side-parted updo.
What: Simple and quietly dramatic, Danielle wore a shiny white dress with tulip style sleeves and a gathered neckline with bold burgandy shoes and a matching burgandy clutch. I don't know this girl but she certainly makes a style impact!
What: Again, I don't know this lady but she looked great in her grecian inspired, forest green dress so why not blog about her? Lol. The dress was simple and flattering, but had the added glam factor with diamante detailing under the bust and around the neckline. This was matched with the big diamante detail on her court shoes. And even her skin was sparkling and glowing!

Who: Scarlett Johansson
What: One of the biggest (in terms of success!) ladies of the night, Scarlett, stood out in her sweetheart necklined, Louis Vuitton, LBD by adding her own personal style in the shape of strappy shoes with turquoise flowers, matching turquoise drop earrings and a glamorous old Hollywood style hairdo. The bodice on this dress is gorgeous.
What: Looking hot in a zipped up, black, Lanvin dress with a cool collar, Jessica Alba showed her stylish side with her all patent accessories. She wore a patent skinny waist belt, strappy patent shoes and carried a patent clutch. Simple and effective!
What: I love how Molly Sims has played with shapes in her outfit, with a chic black pencil skirt and a volumous silver top. I'm not fussed on the shoes and I think a sleek do would have been more appropriate than this messy do, but her silver hoops and black clutch are adorable.
What: A lovely LBD with lace bodice and lace panelled skirt teamed with classic, black, peep toes a structured black clutch and an oversized black and gold ring. This look is classically beautiful with a stylish twist, but Alyson needs to work on her facial expressions for posing! She looks a little stunned :S
What: Kristen had the Midas touch (like a certain co-star's character in Heroes if there are any fans reading!!) in a fitted, nude, shift dress with gold sequins and strappy gold sandals. She wore long gold earrings, sported long golden locks and even gold eyeshadow! Sensing a theme?? Whatever, it worked cos she looked great!
Who: Melissa George
What: My favourite, most dramatic, and chicest (if it's not a word I'm making it one!) look of the night, goes to Melissa George who pulled out all the stops and wasn't afraid to look different in this STUNNING grey Peter Som dress with sheer top, black velvet band under the bust, lace detailing and a tulip shaped skirt.
There are so many different, styles going on in this outfit but it still looks simple and pulled together rather than busy. I'm sure many won't like her bold, burgandy lip colour on pale, matt skin but it shows me how fashion forward this woman (or her stylist) is. As does her Hollywood glam curls, her slightly bushy brows (yes they're in style!), her clear nail polish (colour only on lips or nails but not both!), her burgandy clutch, her oversized pearl ring, need I go on?? So many aspects of this look are great!
What do you think?? I say Melissa George (or, again, her stylist) is one to watch in the style stakes!

Wanna make a chic statement in your office? Follow Jessica Alba's look from the Padres Contra el Cancer's 7th annual "El Sueno de Esperanza" on Thursday where she dressed in a knee-length, high-waisted black skirt and a tucked-in crisp white shirt. She also had a black belt around her waist and added some subtle colour with a birgandy blutch and patent, burgandy courts.
With her curls in a casual updo, this look is perfect for showing your stylish edge off to your colleagues.

Don't wanna show off your legs? Monica Bellucci looked sexy but smart and also covered up in this gorgeous black suit at the photocall for her new film Le Deuxieme Souffle on Thursday.
The jacket was fitted and had a low cut neckline. It could also be worn open with a cute satin top to be bang on autumn winter trend. The trousers were souchy as seen on the catwalks and she carried an aaaaaadorbale little black padded bag.
Finally, if your office is a little more casual, take inspiration from Kate Bosworth's quirky little dress that she wore to the Fendi Private Dinner on Thursday.
The dress was in a trapeze shape with subtle pleats and in an off white colour. It has a funky collar and tie detail whilst still looking highly feminine and pretty. Kate wore it with strappy gold sandals but it would look just as great for work with blakc opaque tights and black, round toe courts.

Thursday, 9 August 2007
Young starlet number one, Devon Aoki, was sene out for coffee in LA on Tuesday proving that when you're young and pretty even jeans and a vest can look great. I love the care free vibe of this look and the brown wedges are perfect for adding a little bit of glam.

Young starlet number two, Emmy Rossum, was stiking in a beautiful red shift dress and white sandals at Helio's Party and Heal the Bay in West Hollywood yesterday. This look is the perfect combo of easy to wear and glamorous.
Hilary Duff's latest man seems to be sticking around for a while and she certainly seems happy about it! She was seen out and about with him in L.A. yesterday, and despite being in a relationship, Hilary is not letting herself go at all! She looked great in her loose dress and leggins, with the brown belt slung over the top. This look is full of great accessories; the beautiful scarf, gold wedges, loads of jewellery and my favourite - that turquoise bag.
The ever beautiful and newly (apparently) single Jessica Alba stepped out of her sweet as pie box last weekend to go clubbing at Hyde (well someone has to take over from Lindsay now she's vanished!) and looked sleek and stylish whilst doing it in her simple monochrome outfit of black jeans, white vest, blakc court shoes and a black jacket. Love the simple look and lets face it, Jessica looks good in anything.

I haven't seen a pic of Kate Bosworth in a while and I was misisng her quirky-but-always-impeccable style, so I was happy to see this pic of her at the L.A. Premier of 11th Hour yesterday in an off-white one sleeved dress. It is a very unusual style but I think she just about pulls it off with her swept back hair, smoky eyes, black clutch and black courts. What do you think? Hit or miss?

Monday, 2 July 2007
Kate Bosworth checks to see that she's not having a wardrobe malfunction whilst running through Hollywood, after shopping with her boyfriend.
I bet they were meant to meet back up at a certain time and she got side tracked by all the pretty new clothes....always happens to me. Lol.
I love her layered, cream dress and grey cardigan and I particularly like her flat, brown pumps. Her earrings look really unusal and nice too, possibly vintage??
Oh and also want to point out that Kate's looking much more beautiful now that she doesn't look like a walking corpse!
