Us Weekly Magazine held their Hot Hollywood Hottest Style Makers Party in Hollywood last week, and the fun event was attended by a host of stylish yound stars.

Another colour trend at the event was purple and lilac hues as seen on Sanaa Lathan, Heidi Klum, and the Us Weekly carpet!

Sanaa looked very stylish in a purple and cream print ruffled dress but ruined it a little with some odd looking, clumpy grey shoes.

Heidi kept things simple in a strapless purple mini with a sweetheart neckline worn wth crocodile print peep toes. She looked ok but I don't like red nail varnish with a purple dress and the dress made her figure look really boyish. Maybe she needs some kind of a waist belt to give her shape??

The other big colour of the night was green.

Rapper Eve was looking funky in a lime green satin Jay Godfrey Spring 2008 dress with a cool zip down front and piping detail. I love this dress, and teamed with black courts and a blakc clutch it looked sophisticated but fun.

Also in green was Jenna Dewan, who looked pretty in an apple green shift dress, with a little embroidered clutch bag and delicate silver strappy shoes.

If you're not such a huge fan of colour, or you want to look uber sophisticated, neutral colours are very much "in" right now.

The Lipstick Jungle actress Lindsay Price looked classy in a gold satin bubble hem skirt with a cream ruffled blouse and nude peep toes.

Rob Kardashian's girlfriend, Adrienne Bailon of The Cheetah Girls, looked stunning and very hot in a short, silver dress which had a fitted, high-waisted skirt and a contrasting loose top in a soft, shimmery fabric.

The dress had sparkle, but not too much to look tacky and her gold and turquoise beaded sandals kept things young. She was my best dressed of the event!

Finally, as always, there were certain celebs who played it safe in classic, easy-to-wear, black. But they still looked great!

Christina Milian looked super sexy in a strappy black mini dress with a gold chain neckline. I loved her slicked back hair and smokey eyeshadow, and her black wedges were the perfect spring/summer touch.

Like Lauren Conrad, Jordana Brewster wore a black and white embroidered, cutout dress from the Catherine Malandrino Resort 2007 Collection. The pretty actress teamed her girly dress with black sling backs and a big silver heart pendant.

Following sister Beyonce's wedding to long-time boyfriend Jay-Z last Friday, Solange Knowles was seen leaving the Bloomberg Tower Building in Manhattan on Saturday looking very busy!

21 year old Solange has a new album coming out this year entitled Soul Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams, and her new single I Decided has just been posted on her MySpace page. On top of that she is promoting another project, Baby Jamz, a range of toys for small children which features Hip-Hop inspired nursery rhymes.

She certainly looked like a high flyer wearing a black puff sleeved jacket, black skinny jeans, a Christian Dior belt and electric blue courts.

I keep seein celebs wearing electric and royal blue lately. It seems like it may be another trend right now!

A pregnant Jessica Alba held her babyshower in L.A. on Sunday and who was the biggest celeb to turn up? Kim "I'll go to the opening of an envelope if it gets me photographed" Kardashian.

I guess poor Jess isn't that popular in Hollywood!

Kim looked summery in a floarty floral dress and beige peep toe wedges, but more interestlingly, she carried a baby pink bag full of gifts wrapped in pink.

I guess this confirms that Jess and her fiance Cash Warren are having a baby girl?

The baby is reportedly due in May and some sources say she is to be named Honor. Hmmm. Not sure about that one.

American Idol wants to remind you all that it is not just a hugely successful reality TV show produced (and presented) by super-rich men in suits whose pockets it is happily lining....they also do some good in the world, and no not just because it gave us Kelly Clarkson!

Idol Gives Back is a foundation which helps children and young people in poverty in the USA and around the world through various means.

The Idol Gives Back 2008 show was filmed yesterday in L.A. and loads of stars turned up, performed, and presented. Some looked casual, some looked glam, some looked good, some looked not so good.

Miley Cyrus (left) performed at the show and she looked good in casual skinny jeans and a cute sequined, layered, camisole. She looked young and fun but I'm not fussed on the boots.

Also looking good was Teri Hatcher in a tailored black blazer, long white top and jeans. Wonder if her and Ryan shared any awkward moments?!

Looking not-so-good in their casual outfits were Fergie (left), who was shocking in shiny leather leggings, and Mariah Carey who was boring and cheap looking in a black vest and gold chain belt.

Some stars dressed up a bit more though, like Geri Halliwell who debuted new boyfriend, dancer Ivan FlipZ Velez, at the event. She wore the blue-grey version of a Herve Leger dress once worn by Rihanna in pink. She looked hot and her figure is amazing these days! In shape, but not too skinny as she has been in the past.

Reese Witherspoon presented at the event and looked demure and pretty in a simple LBD. All the details were on trend though: a waist belt, sheer top section and ruffles. Her bold red peep toes set of the whole look!

Looking not so good all glammed up was Idol judge Paula Abdul. The sweetheart neckline, red dress is actually pretty sexy, but poor Paula just always looks a mess! I don't know how she does it......but I think the secret's in the 80s bouffant hair.

I love the style of Carrie Underwood's off the shoulder Farah Angsana gown, but it seems a little OTT for this event, considering most people were in jeans! Plus I hate the iridescent colour orange/pink colour!

As a side note, Carrie was asked about rumoured boyfriend Chase Crawford and she said that they had broken up a couple of months ago via text because it just wasn't working so it's weird that it's all coming out in the press now. She said it was mutual. Hmm. Dumping via text, how classy!

So what did you all think of the new Season 3 of The Hills episodes?? The funny moment when the 2 guys were fighting over Lauren's attention at the club, when Lauren burnt her Alberta Ferretti gown with her curling irons, when she got on the back of a scooter in a ball gown, Heidi's new lips?! OMG the drama just keeps getting funnier and more addictive!

Before the new episode was aired, the main ladies, Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port, all posed together in their fantastic outfits for the Premiere Party on Monday night.

Leading lady Lauren looked glam in a slinky navy gown with delicate gold straps and matching gold jewellry.

Sexy Audrina went summery in bright in a pretty yellow mini dress with a cute waist sash, accessorised with classic black peep toes.

Fashionista Whitney looked sweet in a white peasant top, floaty red mini skirt and dual tone strappy shoes.

I love all the looks but my favourite at a push would probably be Audrina's because it's so simple, but Whitney's shoes are my fav!

In the hair department however Lauren is the clear winner. The new fashion designer has been setting hair trends recently with her stylish braids, and she wore the look again on Monday night.

LC wore a thick braid across the front of her side-parted hair and then tied the rest of her hair back into a low side ponytail with loose waves.

Love it!

Little black dresses never go out of style, especially if you modernise them slightly to fit the trends of each season. Here are my favourites as seen on celebs recently!:

Thandie Newton wore a high-necked, lace, black dress to the NYC Premiere of her new movie, Run, Fat Boy, Run last Thursday. The floral lace and the mini style with black tights are very trendy aspects as is the waist belt, whilst overall the look is classic, especially with Thandie's simple make-up and chic updo.

Also updating her LBD was Lauren Conrad, who wore a stylish one-shoulder, assymetrical black dress to the Late Show with David Letterman in New York City last Tuesday. Lauren looked simple and elegant and accessorised with black peep toes. For fans of The Hills like myself, the new episodes with the trip to France and Brody's new girlfriend (but not with Kristin Cavallari :() started last night!

Melissa George proved how sultry black can be in a fitted basque style pencil dress with satin side panels and patent court shoes, that she wore to the screening of Stop-Loss last Thursday. I do like the natural look but I think the glamorous dress needs a little more glam in the hair and make-up departments.

Finally we have Lucy Liu wearing the simplest LBD of all to the 2008 UNICEF and Esquire Nationwide Tap Project in NYC last Wednesday, a black v-neck which could eaisly transition from season to season. Lucy gave the look some edge with the most gorgeous animal print pumps ever! Love them! I also love her side-swept updo.

Jennifer Lopez made her first post-pregnancy appearance since giving birth to her twins, with hubby Marc Anthony last Sunday in NYC.

Fourth and fifth time Dad Marc looks exhausted but new mum Jennifer looks radiant!

She wore a glimmering white mini dress and a stylish black coat, accessorised with a large black clutch and black patent shoes. I adore her coat, especially the gold button details.

The hair's a little poodle-ish though.

But what we all really wanna know though is...........when are we gonna see the baby pics?! Let's just hope they inherit Jennifer's looks eh? No offence Marc.

So many celebs showed up looking fabulous for the L.A. Screening of Prada's Trembled Blossoms, a 4-minute animated movie short inspired by the Prada Spring 2008 Collection, on Wednesday.

My favourite outfit was the won worn by fashionista Angie Harmon. The volumous printed skirt was so on trend for Spring and I loved the strappy purple shoes and the fitted top which gave her a real girly silhouette.

I also liked Ugly Betty star Becki Newton's flirty little strapless turqouise dress. It's simple but with her gold accessories it looked really sexy!

I loved Ginnifer Goodwin's colour block dress and her black satin Mary Jane shoes, however I hated her heavy make-up and flat to the head hair! It really ruined the look.

Of course there were plenty of LBD's.

One of my favs was Nicole Richie's floaty v-neck dress which she wore with hot lace-up shoes. The unusual neckline makes this dress. And I think Nicole looks great post-pregnancy despite what some idiotic people in the media may be saying. She certainly looks better than she did in her deathly-skinny days!

Malin Akerman is a little late on the leather trend but if you look good, you look good, regardless of the season! She certainly did look good in her leather empire line mini dress and delicate strappy black sandals.

Finally we have Buffy alum Michelle Trachtenberg, who is rumoured to be appearing on Gossip Girl in the role Mischa Barton supposedly turned down, who played it safe in a strapless black prom style dress and black peep toes. Classic? Boring? I'll let you decided!

Both model/designer Kimora Lee and supermodel Selita Ebanks were at the launch of Kimora's new fragrance Baby Phat Fabulosity in NYC on Wednesday, but whose style was better?

Selita chose a vibrant turquoise chiffon mini dress teamed with clear sandals and long straightened hair. This colour is my favourite ever and the tend dress shape looked chic.

Kimora also wore a blue mini dress but hers was a mid-blue, v-neck, pleated number with embellished bust line. The lady of the event (who is rumoured to be pregnant!) matched the gold detail on the dress with her strappy gold sandals and wore her hair big and curly.

Both ladies oozed "Fabulosity" but I think Selita wins it for me for the gorgeous colour of her dress! It just looked stunning on her.

So Halle Berry's just popped out a daughter, becoming the latest of many celebs to give birth. But don't worry, there are plenty more pregnant celebs flaunting fabulous maternity wear!

Tori Spelling (who neck up is so scary looking) was promoting her new book recently, creatively named Tori Spelling, and looking fab in a turquoise tent dress.

The floaty dress skimmed over her bump but the delicate gold neckline gave her shape. I love her gold accessories too which really pop next to the bright blue.

Now if only she could get a face transplant.....wait, she already has! Guess it didn't work out too well?

Lauren Conrad, previously famous for being the star of Laguna Beach and The Hills, yesterday debuted her new fashion line at L.A. Fashion Week. The budding new designer looked cute in a strapless tiered black dress and black peep toes.

She was joined by The Hills co-stars Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port, Laguna Beach co-stars Lo Bosworth and Kristin Cavallari (yes really!) and boy-toy Brody Jenner and his side-kick Frankie Delgado.

So Brody and his two exes Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari (mortal enemies since Laguna Beach) were all in one room? And no drama kicked off?! Maybe these guys are growing up!

When I asked in a poll a few weeks ago if you thought she deserved to show her line at Fashion Week, around two-thirds of you said no! So now The Lauren Conrad Fall 2008 Collection has been shown, what do we think?

Her sister Brianna (of Laguna Beach Season 3) stated that the strapless cream dress (above left) was her favourite item. It was cute, but personally I adored the floral black and white pencil dress (above middle). Check out Lauren wearing a maxi version of this dress recently in my GirlzNight article!

I also loved the black lace accents she used on many items including an LBD with a black lace skirt (above right), and the French widow inspired head wear.

There were a lot of flattering jersey style items in autumnal colours like olive, plum and burgandy. Some of my favs were the burgandy off-the-shoulder top, olive dress with plunging neckline and chic plum coloured belted cardigan.

Like most other designers, Lauren showed off some one shoulder numbers including a burnt orange top and strappy black LBD. I loved her orange and black panel mini dress too and again the French vibe was continued with leather gloves.

So far things are looking good, but it was a bit anoying to see Lauren continuing with the legging trend long after most other designers have abandoned it! The Hills girls do love their leggings though.

And finally we have the gorgeous cream monochrome outfits, my absolute favourite being the black and white strapless pencil dress with front slit (above middle). So sophisticated!

There was a tiered strapless cream top (above right) accessorised with a bow detailed beret, very French again! Her time in France with Whitney (to be shown on the new season of The Hills debuting later this month) must have really rubbed off on her!

The tiered and bow trends were also shown on a flirty little dress (above left).

Overall the collection is not exactly thrilling or trend-setting and certainly won't set the fashion world on fire; but it is very wearable (I'd wear most of the collection myself) and has strong themes running through it and definitely has Lauren's stamp all over it. And no matter what you think of it, you cannot deny it is a serious step-up from her previous boring and over-priced collections!

I like it, but I still don't think it's worth the price tag!

It'll be interesting to see her develop as a designer though as her tastes hopefully mature and she gains more confidence.

Sophie Monk was seen looking bright and summery out and about in L.A. last week. Do you think she actually cares that her ex-fiance Benji Madden got with Paris Hilton only a couple of weeks after they officially ended their 18 month relationship?

Paris and Benji have been together a couple of weeks and already they're inseperable with Paris wearing a BM (Benji Madden) ring on her wedding finger and rumours of a pregnancy! That Paris sure is a fast mover! Or is that Benji?

And to rub things in a bit further, while Sophie and Benji were together, she was a good friend of Benji's twin brother Joel's somewhat famous girlfriend Nicole Richie, and I can only assume it's the very same Nicole who hooked up Benji with her best friend since childhood, Paris. Harsh!

Sophie's put a brave face on things and said she's happy for Benji and Paris but I know most of us would be a little hurt by it all. Sophie seemed a little sombre last week, but still looked fab.

A whole lot better than Paris too if you ask me! At least Sophie didn't completely change her sense of style just because she was dating Benji, unlike Paris (proving how fickle she is).

I think the blue of the dress looks fantastic with Sophie's tanned skin and blonde hair and the volumous style makes it cool. The wedges are cute too.

Paris is a total downgrade. Plus I think the whole Benji thing is just about her being jealous of Nicole and wanting what she has. If she can't have Nicole's man, why not his identical twin brother?! Hehe.

The It Girls. We all know them. We all have opinions on them. And we all love to talk about them! But who has the best style?

Four of the biggest It girls have been photographed out and about in the past couple of weeks sporting their individual styles.

Mischa Barton, 22, who supposedly just turned down a role on Gossip Girl (yeah, cos her career's going so well since The OC!), was seen shopping at the Prada store in Paris last week during Fashion Week. Mischa wore classic black skinny jeans and a plain white tee which she made look stylish with a mustard coloured swing coat, silver peep toe flats and a Louis Vuitton bag. I love her big silver cuff bracelets!

Mischa's best friend Nicole Richie, 26, who recently gave birth to her adorable baby girl Harlow, was dressed top-to-toe in slimming black whilst shopping in Santa Monica recently with boyfriend Joel Madden. Nicole kept things quirky with her Chanel shades and black platform ankle boots. and her hippyish braids in her hair.

Nicole's other BFF (on and off that is, though she seems to have dumped Mischa now they're "on" again) Paris Hilton, 27, was seen at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills recently. Paris and Mischa have a long running fued beginning when Mischa began dating Cisco Adler, ex-fiance of Paris's other BFF Kimberly Stewart (yes you can have multiple BFF's in Hollywood!) and hightened when Paris and Nicole fell out and Mischa became Nicole new best friend. Both It girls have hit out at each other in the press and last year, Mischa apparently dumped Cisco because of a naked photo of him found in amongst Paris Hilton's possesions. Then to top things off Paris started going out on the town with Cisco, and is already good friends with Mischa's other ex, Brandon Davis!

Paris' style has had a recent change from party girl to rock chick since she began dating Nicole's boyfriend's identical twin brother Benji Madden! Wow. The two have not been together long (he only split from his fiance and Nicole's other friend Sophie Monk in January) but Paris is already wearing a BM ring on her wedding finger and sporting DCMA clothing. DCMA is Benji and Joel's own clothing line and here Paris is seen wearing a black DCMA t-shirt with skinny jeans and black knee-high boots, whilst carrying shopping which included Nicole and baby Harlow's exclusive People Magazine cover!

But Paris isn't the only famous Hilton, younger sister Nicky Hilton, 24, was seen shopping at Melrose Avenue in in L.A. last week looking chic in a Dennis the Menace style black and red striped jumper, tailored black shorts and black zip detailed flats. I really love her cute gold heart pendant!

So whose style do you prefer? For me it's between Mischa and Nicky!

Speaking of Leona, she arrived back in the UK at Heathrow Airport yesterday looking casual and cute in black jeans a black dress and Ugg Boots.

She had on some cute accessories; a gold peace symbol necklace and a pretty floral black scarf. But mostly I love her oversized black and white bag and pink suitcase! Way to travel in style!

When I saw the above recent picture of Nicky Hilton picking up her dry cleaning in L.A. on Tuesday, I couldn't help but notice how much the Hilton heiress is morphing into nemesis Mary-Kate Olsen!

Nicky is the current girlfriend of Mary-Kate's ex-boyfriend, Dreamworks heir David Katzenberg. They got together not long after Nicky's sister Paris stole Mary-Kate's other ex-boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos! Confused?

Well while Nicky's style used to be very bright and overtly sexy, much like sister Paris, overtime her style has been changing, and now she dresses very much like cool mini mogul Mary-Kate. These recent pics of Nicky show her wearing funky red shades, the kind often seen on Mary-Kate and gladiator sandals, which both Mary-Kate and twin sister Ashley are often seen in.

She's often swapped her bright colours for a neutral black and white outfit and while her locks have been both bleached blonde and dark brown, they have now settled at the light brown/caramel colour also sported by Mary-Kate.

One distinctive difference between David's current and former ladies however? Their height! While Mary-Kate is tiny, modelesque Nicky towers above him!

I think it's quite disturbing to see a girl trying to look like her boyfriends ex, especially amongst the rumours that David has always carried a torch for Mary-Kate. After Nicky's failed marriage to Todd Andrew Meister (it was annulled) and after ex Kevin Connolly cheated on her, it seems she has become a little insecure and is possibly becoming what she thinks boyfriend David wants her to be to hold on to him?

Both singer Jordin Sparks and actress Christina Ricci dropped by MTV's TRL this week.

On Monday, Jordin showed to promote her new music video for the single "No Air", her collaboration with Chris Brown. The 18 year old (yes she's only 18!!) looked cute in a blue empire-line mini dress, black leggins and trendy black platform sandals. What's the corny peace sign about though?

On Wednesday, Christina was a guest at TRL to promote her new movie Penelope. The 28 year old (yes she really is 28 all ready!!) looked fantastic in her outfit! She wore classic bootcut jeans and a white vest but made them look great by teaming them with a stunning cream waistcoat and fabulous metallic gold pumps, not to mention the sexy red nails and gorgeous gold necklace with lots of little black crosses.

But whose style was better??

For me it has to be Christina. Jordin looks nice but Christina's outfit is so well put together right down to the small details. She looks classy but fun and proves just how great classic items can look when you accessorise well!
